The founder and General Overseer of The Redeemed Family Church, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, Pastor Seth Tam Eyedoude, has urged Christians and other believers of Christ to always honor God through the application of redeeming their vows in order to attract the blessing of God.
He made the assertion during Sunday Service held at its parental headquarter, Bayelsa State, decried the rate in which Christians pay maximum premium to material things, stressing that “You cannot serve two masters at the same time but honor God fearfully and preferentially”.
Pastor Seth Eyedoude titled his sermon “Open Heavens” and was taken from the Books of Psalm 55, 50:14,15, 66:13, Jeremiah 5, Genesis 28:16, Ecclesiastes 5:4, Deuteronomy 23:23, 12:11, 26, 23:21.
Speaking on the topic, Pastor Seth Eyedoude said the only way to keep heaven open is through seasonless fasting and prayers.
He noted that every true born again Christian is usually faced with a temptation as a means of testing her faith, adding that most Christians fall prey to the devils temptation of redeeming her vows.
His words, “You should pray and fast without season because in book of Isaiah, the Lord said fasting and prayer is a medicine for every Christian. Also, always honor God wherever you are, and always give God what due him.
“Another way to keep our heaven open is by honoring God with your vows. When you make your vows and the first thing that will come your way is temptation; it is to test your faith”, he concluded.
